Q. Do I need anything special to have Care Call installed ?A. All you will need is a phone line with a power point nearby. Q. Will Care Call stop my phone from working?A. No, your phone will work just as it always has. |

Q. What happens if the power goes off?
A. The Care Call device has a built in back-up battery that will
keep going
for 30 hours.
Q. Can I wear my pendant in the shower?
A. Absolutely YES. Our pendants are 100% water proof and we strongly
recommend
that you never remove your pendant especially in the bathroom.
Q. How far away will you hear me?
A. Every home is different and it is impossible to predict accurately
what coverage
you have without a demonstration. In most homes the operator and
yourself will have voice contact from all rooms in the house.
Q. What happens when I go outside?
A. In most cases, you are safe in the front and back garden. The
radio signal will
still alert the monitoring service that you are in difficulty even though you are
too
far away for voice contact.
Q. How can I be sure my Care Call is still working?
A. We will ask you to do test call every month just to make sure.
You are free at any
time to do a test call just to put your mind at rest.
Q. What happens if I press my pendant accidentally?
A. We will be happy to hear that you are not hurt and will consider it a test call.
Q. I only need Care Call for a short time while my carer is away?
A. Care Call has 2 week and 4 week short term contracts.
